Project: The Myxomycetes Collections at M

Compiling a web-accessible database of the myxomycete herbarium of the Botanische Staatssammlung München, including the private collection of M. Schnittler

The main purpose of this project is the compilation of a database for the myxomycete herbarium (2,500 specimens, among them many historic records; all material revised by Dr. H. Neubert, Bühl) and the accession of the private collection of M. Schnittler (ca. 10,000 specimens). The latter is already represented by a database, which has to be converted into the Diversity Workbench module DiversityCollection. All records of the joint collection, which will be one of the largest in Europe, will be referred to geographic co-ordinates; and all data will be made online available via searchable web interface (partly already done, see "The Myxomycetes Collections at the Botanische Staatssammlung München").
